Baker Bros's Quarantine
A downloadable game for Windows
Baker Bros's Quarantine is an experimental action-comedy game for adults, completely politically incorrect — and it doesn’t apologize for being anti-woke. It challenges couch activists to try to cancel... if they’re able!
The main theme of the game is the Culture War, explored through a sharp and visceral humor that makes direct critiques of woke culture and progressive ideologies.
Here, nothing is off-limits, and progressivism gets torn apart without ceremony. With a storyline full of sarcasm, intense characters, and insane twists, the game sparks laughter and reflection — or outrage. The choice is yours.
The Storyline:
What would you do if everyone in your town suddenly decided to eat you? And no… not in the way you’re thinking. Fight for your survival against an army of cannibals and try to escape this nightmare. A wild journey full of action and adult-only comedy.
Some of the residences in Gaillardia City were placed under quarantine due to contamination issues in the river near the Soda Paradise Soft Drink Factory. This led to the outbreak of a mysterious illness, with infected individuals exhibiting symptoms such as irritability, aggression, hypersensitivity to light and touch, repetitive movements like teeth grinding and tongue rolling, changes in posture like lowered heads or altered movements when standing up, and the onset of a moderate hunger.
The city’s mayor forcibly placed the homes that received the contaminated water under quarantine, and the Baker Brothers’ apartment was one of them. A health surveillance team was periodically sent to the locked-down residences to provide food, medical assistance, and testing. A reinforced security team always accompanied the health agents in case of aggression from the infected.
The game begins in the Baker Brothers' apartment, where they had already been stuck in quarantine for about a month. It had been a week since the health agents last visited, and with their food supplies completely gone and the agents' absence starting to seem suspicious, they decide to find a way out of the apartment and explore the city in search of answers—and something to eat.
The Protagonists:
Andreas Baker is a 26-year-old psychology student. He works as a cook at his parents’ bakery and is the one who pays the household bills. He is responsible, righteous, fair, authentic, and extremely intelligent.
Alessa Baker is a 24-year-old young woman who neither studies nor works, living entirely at her brother’s expense. She is immature, egocentric, opportunistic, rude, selfish, manipulative, fake, dishonest, irresponsible, reckless — and the list goes on endlessly.
Bibliography:
This game was inspired by two books in the philosophical development of its storyline. They are:
Culture War in Practice, by Gustavo Lopes, with contributing authors such as philosopher Natalia Sullman and the YouTube channel Heróis e Mais.
1984, by George Orwell.
